I’m very proud to be standing as your Labour candidate for the Bedwell County Council By-Election on Thursday 29th August. This seat includes Bedwell and parts of Almond Hill and Martins Wood.

My Stevenage Story
Having spent much of my life here, I’m so grateful for all of the opportunities that Stevenage has given me. Years later I’m now raising my daughter here, in the town I’m proud to call home. Like you, I want the best possible future for my family.
As a veterinary lecturer, helping others achieve their goals has always been at the core to who I am. When I was asked by my good friend Cllr Conor McGrath to step up and stand as a Borough Councillor – I jumped at the opportunity.
Since then, I’ve loved helping my residents. But most of the issues I want to solve lie with Herts County Council.
Together with our new MP Kevin Bonavia, I can make a real difference. I’m someone you can trust to take action.
Plater’s Promises
A PLAN FOR POTHOLES
Launch a pothole survey to identify badly affected areas and secure funding to fill them through Labour’s national pothole repairs fund
SUPPORT LOCAL SCHOOLS
Back the new government to hire teachers to fill vacancies, secure a mental health specialist in every school and support SEND students
BRING BACK OUR BUSES
Support plans to hand control of bus networks to local council’s to shape a bus network that is designed and led by the community
